At Agile Exercise Physiology, we offer tailored exercise programs for Medicare and private clients, focusing on improving overall health, managing chronic conditions and injuries, and enhancing physical function.
Our Exercise Physiologists (EP’s) are passionate about what they do and they want you to be agile in all aspects of life. Our team of EP’s provide evidence-based exercise interventions to help you achieve your goals. Whether you’re managing a chronic condition, recovering from an injury, or simply looking to improve your overall well-being, our personalised approach ensures optimal outcomes.
When you start your journey with us, we care about you. We want you feeling good and making the most of life and we make rehabilitation fun. Although we strive to help you achieve your goals, we want you to enjoy the process and learn the why, to assist you moving forward.
A Medicare rebate for Exercise Physiology can be accessed under the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Program, which was formerly known as the Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) program. To qualify for a Medicare rebate you must have a chronic condition or injury. A chronic medical condition is one that has been or is likely to be present for six months or longer, such as: Lower back pain, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, respiratory conditions, cancer, musculoskeletal injuries, neurological conditions and mental health conditions among others. As Exercise Physiologists specialise in treating and managing chronic conditions, we are often are valuable option for rehabilitation.
Firstly, you must meet the criteria which revolves primarily around chronic conditions. Secondly, you need the appropriate referral form from your General Practitioner (GP), who needs to refer you to an Exercise Physiology clinic. If you have a preferred allied health provider or service you may be able to request this. The Medicare CDM Program allows for a total of up to five rebated consultations per year with any referred allied health practitioner, such as Exercise Physiology, Dietetics, Podiatry, Physiotherapy, and Speech Pathology. Keep in mind that you will need a new referral each calendar year.
We collaborate with your GP to ensure a coordinated, goal-oriented approach to improve your overall quality of life.
At Agile Exercise Physiology, we have set up an easy system for processing Medicare rebates. All you need to do is pay the full fee at your consultation. We will then process the Medicare rebate, and you will have the rebate deposited directly into your account.
If you have any questions about obtaining a referral or how we may be able to assist you, please don’t hesitate to reach out to one of our friendly team!

Your first session is all about understanding you, your needs, and your goals. Here’s what the process typically looks like:
1. A Warm Welcome
We’ll start by introducing ourselves and answering any initial questions you may have. This session is a no-pressure opportunity to discuss what you’re looking for and how we can help.
2. Discussion of Your Goals
We’ll talk about what you’d like to achieve, whether that’s improving strength, reducing pain, recovering from an injury, managing a condition, or regaining independence. Your goals will guide every part of your program.
3. Medical and Lifestyle History
We’ll go through your medical history, current health concerns, and any physical or functional challenges you’re experiencing. This includes understanding any medications, recent surgeries, or conditions that could influence your exercise plan. If you’re living with a disability or chronic condition, we’ll explore how it affects your daily life and mobility.
4. Baseline Assessments
To design the best program for you, we will conduct a few simple assessments. These could include tests that assess:
5. Collaborative Planning
